Our chambers can simulate most worldwide climatic environments and conditions relating to transportation, storage, and operational use of any product that may be exposed to extreme or changing environments. Environmental qualification testing is becoming increasingly important as manufacturers strive to increase the reliability of their products. Conducted properly, environmental testing can help you minimize risk from warranty, insurance and damage claims by detecting design flaws early. Some product faults may occur only under very controlled conditions. Intertek’s ability to monitor and record such conditions enables us to quickly identify the main root cause, and enables our clients to address them faster and get the products to market faster.
Examples of the tests we perform are temperature, moisture, dust, vibrations, noise, and salt exposure. Testing is carried out in accordance with standards such as the IEC 60068/721 range in the IEC 60529, UL 50, Telcordia, NEBS, ETSI, MIL, Lloyds Register, DED STAN 0035, and EN 60721-x. We can also test according to your own standards or criteria.
